Adding eyes and some other subtle touches makes for more productive nymphs. Predator trout key in on the eyes of their prey.

Something For The Fall Brookies

Been messing with this pattern to entice some fall trout with streamers. So far it's going well. Like the sparser hackle for better activity in the water.

Kids On The Fly Closes Up Shop

Just heard that Kids On The Fly will cease operations after 6 years due to a lack of adult volunteers. Adults dropped the ball on that one.

Federation of Fly Fishers At The Symposium

The Northeast Council of the Federation of Fly Fishers will be at the Symposium this coming weekend. We will have our annual fly plate raffle and a special raffle to a Greys 10' Streamflex rod, reel, line, fly box and flies tyed by yours truly. It is a perfect Czech nymphing outfit. Just add water and fish. Tickets for the rod raffle are 2/$10 and 5/$20.
